Time for a Bite SOLD (Click here to view results on eBay)

I was thinking I wanted to paint some figurative pieces a little more often than what I've done in the past. Right now I think I've painted only about 10 pieces out of 370 that had a major figure in the composition. People are too fun to paint to leave them out of that much painting. The Three Martini Lunch SOLD (Click here to view results on eBay)

The Three Martini Lunch is a cliche for the executive that needed a shot of alcohol instead of a good lunch to cope with their jobs. It's kinda funny because the only thing missing may be protein. There are some carbs in the olives and alcohol at least. Click on the image for a larger view.

Red Pinstripes SOLD (Click here to view results on eBay)

I was able to finish this painting finally, a couple of days before Christmas, after starting it sometime in October. I brought it along with me to Pheonix, knowing I would find a time when I only had an hour to spare to try to get something posted on eBay. I had already spent a good day trying to lay in the concrete and carriage and loved the bright hot feeling of that 90+ hot day in New York, and I didn't want to hurry the piece just to get it done. There's always something you can do more on a painting but I finally jumped in and gave it my last once over and decided this was enough. I called it Red Pinstripes because it was the last thing I added, and I just about decided not to put them in, but the more I looked at the image, the more I realized it had to be the finishing touch. Bunny Full of Beans SOLD (Click here to view results on eBay)

I've painted this guy at least twice before, and I will probably have to paint him some more until I find a replacement figure. There's alot of things I like about him that makes me want to paint again and again. The old surface, cracked and chipped, the subtle creams and violets in his glaze, and even his design. He's a classic figure. But most of all I like the idea of finding a candy dish and not being able to see inside until you look, and either being happy or disappointed. I know Reagan would have been happy. Click on the image for a larger view.

Last Light on Teton Peaks SOLD (Click here to view results on eBay)

This piece was created form shots I took last May while traveling through Jackson, Wyoming. We had a chance to stay there for three days this time and I was able to get not only some mountain shots, but some shots of pathways up to Hidden Falls and Lake Jenny. Click on the image for a larger view.

Staten Island Ferry SOLD (Click here to view results on eBay)

One our second day in New York, we took the traditional trip to the Statue of Liberty. On the way out to the Lady you get to see all the activity of New York harbor. This is a scene looking south towards the Verrazano Narrows Bridge that connects Staten Island to Brooklyn. Boy I learn alot doing this painting thing. I also found out there are a total of nine different ferries that carry people for free, and that they don't carry cars since 9-11. Click on the image for a larger view.

The Bookstore SOLD (Click here to view results on eBay)

This is a scene of the bookstore in Hamilton, New York, at about midnight last August. We had finished with my son's speaking and singing session at Colgate University, and were just walking around taking in the sights before going back to the hotel. The students there must be very serious because there wasn't hardly anyone on the streets but us. Click on the image for a larger view.

What's Showing? SOLD (Click here to view results on eBay)

This is a scene of the Hamilton Theater in Hamilton, New York. It is the small town that is situated next to Colgate University in the middle of New York state. It was late August, and during the day that week, the temperatures were in the low 90's during the day, and still very warm walking around at night. Click on the image for a larger view.

The Old Stone Jug SOLD (Click here to view results on eBay)

This is may be the only bar in Hamilton, New York. It's just outside the campus of Colgate University in the middle of New York state, and in the middle of some of the most picturesque farm country that I have ever seen, and I come from the midwest where that is hard to top. I was shocked to see how rural the setting was for such a famous school. Click on the image for a larger view.

Fire in th Sky SOLD (Click here to view results on eBay)

On a trip up to Anthon, Arizona a couple of weeks ago, I shot some scenes of the surrounding neighborhoods. Anthon is just half an hour north of Pheonix. This is a pretty typical evening, but every once in a while, when storms move in the skys can really get spectacular with colors and formations. It's a short time frame though, so you have to be ready. Click on th image for a larger view.

Light From a Distant Shore SOLD (Click here to view results on eBay)

This scene is from Lake Tahoe. It's the view from the California western side, looking south to the community called South Lake Tahoe. The state line between California and Nevada runs right through the lake and aslo through that town. You can tell exactly where Nevada starts, casinos and Vegas type look all over the place. Teton Peaks AVAILABLE (Click here to view eBay results)
