"Sedona Quiet" 11x14 (Click here to bid on eBay)

A trip through Sedona in the winter of '06 provided me with a photograph to create this painting. I remember not being too impressed with the colors at the time. Not the shades of grey and brown in the foliage, but the brightness of the sky and lack of clouds. One of those white sky days. Click on the image for a larger view.

"Green Oranges" 11x14 (Click here to bid on eBay)

We live in a community called Seville, here in the Southtern Phoenix Valley, that was built on a former orange grove. The orange trees were spared wherever possible when they built the houses and golf course and my guess is that they still have one third of all the original trees still standing. Free oranges for everyone and they are just now getting yellow with another month before they become their true orange. Click on the image for larger view.

"Apache Junction City Limits" 6"x12" (Click here to bid on eBay)

I finally came up with another name for one of these Superstition paintings. And I also got off the 11x14 format and painted this 6x12. Since the city of Apache Junction is defined on it's northern and western borders by the Superstitions, I thought why not call it city limits. As an artist, I've always thought the people of Apache Junction have an amazing landmark to identify with. I never thought I would live in a city named Gilbert. Click on the image for a larger view.

"Superstition #7" 11x14 (Click here to bid on eBay)

I ran out of names for Superstition Mountain so this will be #7. It's a close location for me to get to and I never get tired of the structures in the cliff walls. Click on the image for a larger view

"Long Shadows" 11x14 (Click here to bid on eBay)

This is a scene of a Jackson Wyoming meadow that was looking away from the Tetons to a string of smaller mountains just south. The Tetons were in full shadow so I turned around, and this is what I saw. Click on the image for a lrger view

"Jackson Meadow" 9x12 (Click here to bid on eBay)

One of the best three days I ever spent in Wyoming was in March of 2007. I thought it was well on the way to being spring but I found out while I was there that the bears have yet to come out from hibernation. There was one unusual event with a Mother Grizzly and two cubs that really caused a stir in the Grand Teton National Park. Most Grizzlies reside to the north in Yellowstone National park.
