Caramel Apple Three (Click here to view eBay results)

Here's another caramel apple that are always fun to paint. I shot a bunch of compositions of caramel apples last summer when there was a carnival in town. That reminds me of a bunch of other paintings that I plan on painting from that one night of shooting. Corndogs, merry-go-rounds, zippers, and flying whales, to name a few. Pier Cafe at Seaport Village (Click here to view eBay results)

This is a scene of the Pier Cafe in the Seaport Village of San Diego California. It's a great scenic place to visit, near Balboa Park and the Naval Yard of San Diego Bay. There are a bunch of other resturants and shops to visit, and within a couple of blocks, there are aircraft carriers and vintage ocean scooners to that are floating museums. Sedona Peak (AVAILABLE)

Here's another scene from Sedona. The whole valley that Sedona sets in is sprinkled with these large structures of rocks and trees. Click on the image for a larger view.

Coffee Cup on the Warmer (AVAILABLE)

Here's a scene I look at every day. Love my warmer. It's been dropped and broken at least three times, but I keep gluing it back together. Click on the image for a larger view.

Two Oranges (AVAILABLE)

Here are a couple of oranges that needed to be painted. I've been doing alot of landscapes lately, and thought I would change things up and start painting some fun food. After doing the Cinnabon I thought it should be something healthy. Click on the image for a larger view.

Cinnabon roll. (Click here to view auction results)

This is my second try in painting a Cinnabon. The first one was a 5x7 so it was alot smaller and was squeezed into the frame. I always wanted to do another with some room to stage it. Click on the image for a larger view.

Egg and Bowl (Click here to view auction results)

Here's a bowl of eggs that I started to set up and paint last month but changed my mind when a friend had a nearly identical setup already painted the day before. They are great to paint for the color and texture. Click on the image for a larger view.

Jackson Stream (Click here to view auction results)

Here's a scene of a quite Jackson Hole stream. The photo for this shot was taken in late November when they had just recieved one of thier first snowfalls. I would think that this same scene looks alot diferent with all the snow that has fallen since. Click on the image for a lrger view.

White Baby Grand (Click here to view auction results)

Here's a piano piece that I knew I would paint some day. I thought I was putting together a very subtle image but it just became more colorful as I went along. I kept seeing brighter and brighter blues and warms greys. Click on the image for a larger view.

Sunlit Ledge (Click here to view auction results)

Here's another Grand Canyon scene. I love the place, but I don't want to paint them all the time. Click on the image for a larger view.

Yellow Desert (Click here to view auction results)

How is this for opposites? Last week we were staying in Phoenix and I was enjoying some plein air painting. This week I don't even go out to get the mail without putting on three layers of coats.
This wasn't from a plein air sitting, I snapped this shot as I was driving back from the Saguaro Lake area. The light had already died there and I thought the day was over, and then the sun sank below the cloud layer for another 20 minute light show. Click on the image for a larger view.

Cool in the Shade (Click here to view auction results)

Here's a house we drove by last week while we were running for some groceries. It's down to 1 degree below zero this week during the daytime when it's warm and I only took 3 shots of this house before my hands started ache. I hardly feel the cold because I'm inside so much, but it really makes me think about the people that have to work out in it all day. My hat is off to them. Clicl on the image for a larger view.

Canyon Sunset (Click here to view auction results)

Here's another composition from the Grand Canyon. I can't wait to go there in the summer to see if the colors could possibly be brighter, and hopefully the north rim this time. Click on the image for a larger

Stepping Stones (Click here to view auction results)

Here's a shot I took while we were in Sedona for our 30th anniversary. Great place to celebrate. Click on the image for a larger view.

Cut Lemons #4 (Click here to view auction results)

I've painted a bunch of lemon layouts before so I'm not sure what number to put on this but it will be #4 until I find out that I need to change it. Click on the image for a larger view.

Rocky Hillside (Click here to see auction results)

This scene was from a short trail I followed when I stopped at a Usery Park rest area. I met some horseback riders there and may do a painting of them later. There were some pretty dramatic trails there that I couldn't believe horses could climb, but I saw them do it with my own eyes. Click on the image for a larger view.

Bowl of Grapes (Click here to see auction results)

Here are some grapes I painted after finding a great grape shaped dish to put them in. Click on the image for a larger view.

Teapot (Click here to view auction results)

This was a teapot that was at our rental house in Phoenix. I started it about two hours after we got home from our vacation at around 7pm, and posted it before it was finished, just so I could start the auction at a decent time, but because the BCS national Championship game was on, that ended up being 12:30 in the morning. Click on the image for a larger view.

Saguaro Bluff (Click here to view auction results)

This is a painting I did on location (plein air), but needed to finish it when we got back home because I started it at around 4 pm and had time to just lay in the colors but no details. This was painted in a park north and west of Phoenix along side the Salt River near Lake Saguaro. It's the best place I've found to paint if there are any plein air painters reading this. Especially if you don't want to drive 50 miles just to paint for a couple of hours. Click on the image for a larger view.

Leaning Tree (Click here to view auction results)

This shot was from my last trip to the Grand Canyon. I was lucky to have had two days of mostly sun and scattered clouds. A big change from the first two trips when it was overcast and cold. I actually lost most of my shots from the first trip by having an external hard drive crash on me. Click on the image for a larger view.

Grand Pedestal (Click here to view eBay results)

This is the 2nd to the last painting that I was able to paint while we were on our winter trip to California. This one and the one above were both won by the same bidder so we saved them $3 in shipping. Unfortunately, in our packing and moving around, I had forgotten to sign them both. I'll be getting them back in a few days to finally put the finishing touch on them. Click on the image for a larger view.
