Three Caramels SOLD (Click here to view results on eBay)

What can I say except a very addicting candy. I try to stop at one, but.... Click on the image for a larger view.

Crowded Canyon (Click here to buy in eBay Store)

I really liked painting this piece. I especially like the left side with the shaded wall with a completely different palette of colors that creates the opening to the sun-lit scene. The structures in Moab are always an amazing thing to analize, but even more so in this piece because they look like people frozen in time. Click on the image for a larger view.

Superstition Gold SOLD (Click here purchase on eBay)

Here's a piece that I started more than a year ago but just now finished and have put it in my eBay store for $450.00 This is an 16 x20 inch, oil on canvas, and is a scene of the Superstition Mountains at sunset, overlooking the city of Apache Junction below.
There's a great story that goes along with the Superstion Mountains. The Lost Dutchman's Mine is supposedly still hidden somewhere in the deep crevasses of it's walls. It is still hiding sacks of gold nuggets that were mined by Jacob Waltz in 1868 where he staked a claim on 160 acres on the north bank of the Salt River. Today there is a great state park that I have previously painted a few pieces from. Click on the image for a larger view.

Big Butte SOLD (Click here to see eBay results)

I decided I needed to get more larger paintings into my eBay store section that aren't in an auction format so I put this Monument Valley piece there last night. Unfortunately, or fortunately, a regular buyer from New York snatched it up by the next day. He's a big western landscape fan and we are currently putting together an 18 by 42 inch evening piece of cowboys and indians that will be alot of fun to paint. I'll post an image of it when I'm done. Juicy Orange SOLD (Click here to view results on eBay)

I painted this from reference that I shot about a year ago. I have always like painting the glowing part in oranges, especially when I can challenge myself to keep it loose vs. rendered. Click on the image for a larger view.

Eclair (AVAILABLE ON MY BLOG $100)

I shot this eclair when we took my mom out for birthday dinner. I like the red plate and the warm tabletop. Click on the image for a larger view.

Path Around the Rock SOLD (Click here to view results on eBay)

This is another in a series of paintings that I plan to complete from a hike I took up to Hidden Falls in Jackson Wyoming. I still laugh when I think back about meeting a guy on the trail the first day who was armed with bear spray. I ran out of battery power by the time I got halfway to the falls, and had to come back the next day. I thought long and hard about buying some spray because the night before we went to dinner at a BBQ place, and on the wall was a plaster cast of a Grizzly footprint. It was larger than a catchers mitt. This was early May and they are very hungry when they first wake up from hibernation. Click on the image for a larger view.
