Canyon de Chelly, in Northeast Arizona is an
amazing place. The valley floor is spotted with
fields and herds of sheep and cattle, all owned
by the native Navajo of the area.

This formation at the Grand Canyon is
called the Duck and it's pretty obvious from
another angle.

I've painted Ravens from the Grand Canyon before
but never knew until now that they are very different
from Crows. Ravens create a different sound as well as
being larger than Crows. They are calmer overall and
will have bushy crow of feathers under their beaks.
They are both carrion eaters.

An amazing place to visit if you ever get the
chance, is the Canyon de Chelly National Monument
in the Northeast corner of Arizona. The native indians
are the Navajo and the canyon lies entirely within
the boundaries of of the Navajo Nation.
