Ice Cream in the Park SOLD (Click here to view results on eBaay)

This is an early evening scene of one of the many vendors inside Central Park. It was near one of the many lakes. This particular one had many rowboaters on it. The temperature for the day was a little over 90 degrees so either pleasure would have felt great. Eating ice cream or floating on the lake. Click on the image for a larger view.

Stone Bridge at Colgate SOLD (Click here to view results on eBay)

This is a scene from the large commons below the campus at Colgate University near Syracuse, New York. The College is actually located on a hillside in the small town called Hamilton that I would guess has less than 2500 permenant residents. Judging by it's downtown business district, that might be an overestimate. I was so curious I just had to check. 3800. Click on the image for a larger view.

Taxi!!! SOLD (Click here to view results on eBay)

This is painting done from a midnight shot of the famous Flatiron building on Fifth Avenue, between 22nd, and 23rd streets. Right after I took those shots, I was talked into walking over to the Empire State Building which is 12 blocks away on 32th and Fifth Avenue. My feet were killing me, but the thought of going to the top of the Empire building kept my mind off the pain. Click on the image for a larger view.

Golden Shoes (AVAILABLE ON THIS BLOG FOR $100)

This is my third painting from the shots I took while in New York City. Central Park was my favorite spot to visit while we were there, but I do have plans for Subway paintings and the Statue of Liberty, as well as other day and night time street scenes. Click on the image for a larger view.

Shadowed Butte (Click here to view in eBay Store)

Thisis a painting I started more than a year ago, from reference I shot just before sunset. I had a chance to go through Monument Valley again earlier this year, but this time it was during the middle of the day. I like the raking shadows in this, but the atmosphere on this day wasn't as heavy, so the buttes in the distance didn't disappear into the distance as quickly. Click on the image for a arger view.

A Walk in the Park SOLD (Click here to view results on eBay)

This is my second painting from my trip to New York. I'm still recovering from the five days of trying to keep up with my son Jobey and his friend Matt. We went up and down the island of Manhattan four times, including out to the Statue of Liberty off shore, and up to the the Bronx for a Yankee game.
My favorite location to just hang out has to be Central Park, and in particular, Strawberry Fields that is just across the street from where John Lennon was killed. John loved New York City, and especially Central Park, and the respect the city has shown him is all over the place.

Don't Walk SOLD (Click here to view results on eBay)

Here is my first painting from a trip I took to New York City with my son Jobey. I knew ahead of time that I wanted to shoot simple street scenes of famous downtown locations and Central Park, and after sifting through thousands of photos I finally had to decide and just get painting. The problem is that there was just too much to choose from. New York is nothing like what I expected except for two things that I did hear once or twice. It doesn't sleep, and it is the greatest city in the world. I'll write more about that later. Click on the image for a larger view.

Split Path SOLD (Click here to view results on eBay)

Here is a typical scene of what you would see if you were to take the path to Hidden Falls in Jackson, Wyoming. It's a great little hike with tons of views of Lake Jenny and the Teton Mountains above. Click on the image for a larger view.

Superstition Shadows SOLD (Click here to view results on eBay)

Here is a scene I've been wanting to paint for quite a while, but I have been wanting to get a mix of subjects in here to keep things from looking the same. It's from one of my favorite places in Arizona, the Supersttion Mountain area, just East of Phoenix. Click on the image for a larger view.
