"Diced Berry" 6x8 (Click here to bid on eBay)

I jumped back into some fruit to paint this week. I bought a watermelon but couldn't decide on the kind of lighting I wanted in order to paint it the way I was hoping I had pictured it in my mind. I'll keep working on that. Click on the image for a larger view.

"Blue Cliffs" 9x12 (Click here to bid on eBay)

This was one of the last shots I took of the Grand Canyon from the first trip I took there in the winter of 2003. It was a cloudless day until the last hour and then thin wispy clouds appeared. Click on the image for a larger view.

"The Pits" 6x8 (Click here to bid on eBay)

Sorry about getting behind again, but I finished this painting a week ago and just now realized it will be ending it's auction in about 5 hours. Click on the image for a larger view.

"The First Star" 9x12 (Click here to bid on eBay)

I have a few more Grand Canyon scenes that I have yet to get time to paint so I thought I would get back to that part of the country once more. I'm looking forward to a trip back there soon which will hopefully include a hike to the bottom of the canyon. Click on the image for a larger view.

"Cantaloupe Boats" 8x10 (Click here to bid on eBay)

Here's my second try at painting cantaloupe in the last couple of weeks. Orange is an easier color for my brain to visualize the different hues within it. I seem to have trouble with greens more than any other color. Click on the image for a larger view.

"The Bunny Trail" 9x12 (Click here to bid on eBay)

I had this composition on my desktop for quite a while and last week when Arizona was going through a record heat wave above 110 for a week, I thought this would be like eating an ice cream cone on a summer's day. Click on the image for a larger view.

"Mango on Black" 11x14 (Click here to bid on eBay)

I was going through my archives of past photos and found a subject that I shot but for some reason didn't paint a couple of years ago.
I'm continuing to try to lay the paint on thicker, and just have fun putting together a fresh looking painting , loaded with strokes and juicy thick clumps of paint, but for as much as I try, the end results are a pale result of what I intended. I'm painting 11x14's because I think they are easier to let that effect take place but maybe not. Click on the image for a larger view.
