"Diced Berry" 6x8 (Click here to bid on eBay)

I jumped back into some fruit to paint this week. I bought a watermelon but couldn't decide on the kind of lighting I wanted in order to paint it the way I was hoping I had pictured it in my mind. I'll keep working on that. Click on the image for a larger view.

The surfaces of both berries are so beautifully done. Very simple composition, but very effective. Beautiful colors hiding in the shadows.

This is really good- the strawberry top left has excellent light reflections.

I linked your blog as I'd just done a wee fruit still too!
