Here's a painting of a single cup of coffee that I painted from some shots my daughter kacey took while on Spring Break with her Mom in Palm Springs. I liked the classy white on white look of the scenes. I have another piece going up soon that's alot like this. White tablecloths are not too common around here. Click on the image for a larger view.
Pears in a Bowl SOLD (Cick here to view eBay results)

Here's a painting I wanted to do from life. My wife was visiting the kids out west, so I had the run of the house for a week. I was going to leave my french easle set up in our kitchen and paint from good natural light a few times, but I ended up having to clean up and leave the house twice for showings, and ended up just photographing and painting it from a digital file. Here's another painting of that ceramic bunny that I found last month. I think I'm going to paint him one more time after this, and try to really capture the old chipped and beat up aspect of him. I have one more nice composition that really shows off the chips and cracks. Click on the image for a larger view.

Apple Strudel (SOLD)
![](http://photos1.blogger.com/x/blogger/1604/2551/320/538277/apple%20struddle.jpg)
Here's a painting of an apple studel sitting on my new marble cutting board. I liked the frosting on this piece the most, and just to let you know, the apple filling was nonexistant. The only filling that ws there was what you see. I was really dissapointed. This thing was 90% air. Click on the image for a larger view.
Basket of Berries SOLD (Click here to view eBay results)
![](http://photos1.blogger.com/x/blogger/1604/2551/320/829540/basket%20of%20berries.jpg)
Here's a painting I had high hopes for. I thought the basket with the teal transparent plastic ribs and the cellophane wrap would really be fun to paint, especially if it's set into a dark enviornment where it can really stand out, but I forgot one thing. Strawberries are hard to paint. I've tried suggesting the seeds on the sides, and I've tried to render them also. I haven't been 100% happy with either way of painting them, but I haven't given up trying. I have some more layouts from this photoshoot that I'll retry later this year. Candle and Pear SOLD (Click here to view eBay results)
![](http://photos1.blogger.com/x/blogger/1604/2551/400/684224/candle%20and%20Pear.jpg)
I always wanted to do a candle, but after this one I think I'll do it from life next time. The colors and values are not even close to being correct when viewed from the best photograph, so I think I'm going to have to set up a challenge for myself and try one from a live sitting. Peeled Orange SOLD (Click here to view eBay results)
![](http://photos1.blogger.com/x/blogger/1604/2551/320/555573/peeled%20orange.jpg)
This painting brings me back to the first painting that I did for auction on eBay, 223 paintings ago. My first painting is still my favorite. An orange totally peeled with the peels laying next to it, on a cutting board. I don't know what to think about that. Is this as good as I'm going to get? Click on the image for a larger view.
Lemon and a Wedge SOLD (Click here to view eBay results)
![](http://photos1.blogger.com/x/blogger/1604/2551/320/322787/lemon%20with%20a%20wedge.jpg)
I started this painting a few weeks ago, painted it loose and colorful and didn't like it. I decided to save it by painting over the loose areas and toning down the color, so now I have a rendering with the regular knife cuts and dimples on the lemon. One of these days I'm going to pull off a good lemon painting in one sitting. Click on the image for a larger view.
Cut Avocado SOLD (Click here to view eBay results)
![](http://photos1.blogger.com/x/blogger/1604/2551/320/542946/cut%20avocado.jpg)
I've always liked painting avocados. I guess it's the various shades of green that normally give me trouble. With these avocados, the shades are easier to see because they run the gamut. I see a green field and I lay on the green raw out of the tube, but hardly ever is it as green as it may seem. It's a tough color for me to control. Click on the image for a larger view.
