Lemon and a Wedge SOLD (Click here to view eBay results)

I started this painting a few weeks ago, painted it loose and colorful and didn't like it. I decided to save it by painting over the loose areas and toning down the color, so now I have a rendering with the regular knife cuts and dimples on the lemon. One of these days I'm going to pull off a good lemon painting in one sitting. Click on the image for a larger view.

This is a cool painting, Mick. How DID you paint the waterdrops? Nice work.

The one detail you do that I always love is the scratches all over the cutting board. That just seals the painting for me.

Mick you are waaay too hard on yourself. You do an equally good job with both still life and landscape.
I enjoyed browsing here. Your paintings rock ;0
And don't I find KelleyMac here before me. We both have great instinct for good painting.
