Back in 2006, I took a trip to Seattle, Washington and on the way, I stopped in Yellowstone National Park. I was lucky to get pretty close to a really good looking buffalo. I say good looking n relation to the classic buffalo you see on the nickel, not like most of the other buffalo I saw on that trip. Click on the image for a larger view.

You are right, this is a fine buffalo. The ones we saw a few years ago were pretty straggly looking. Nice painting, too. :)
