"Glacier Point"
Todays painting is from a trip took to Yosemite in May of 2009. The view is from Glacier Point which is an amazing trip by 2 lane highway to one of the highest points in the park that you can drive instead of hike. It's an amazing view of the valley floor below where the campsites and streams spread throughout the length of the canyon. Click on the image for a larger view.

I like the composition of this painting. The eye follows the color of the highlights in the rocks from the bottom left to the upper right, and the green hill with pine trees adds energy that cuts across that line.
