About Me
- Name: mick mcginty
- Location: Gilbert, Arizona, United States
I've been an artist since age 5, when I remember drawing an airplane better than my older brother. It was a bi-wing with a propeller, (not that I'm that old... it was 1957 and it was a racing plane), and it was encouraging because up until then, it was the only thing I could remember doing better. I kept at it, and now nearly 50 years later I'm still trying to improve my creative process. Now I realize you never get better than anyone else... just more unique to your own style, and become the best painter you can be.

Looks great on my screen, beautiful color depth. Looks like it goes on forever
Beautiful job. Love your subject layers with different color density. First land mass is bolder color, next mountain layer less color then the clouds hang way back as they should. Those major characteristics help make this an outstanding painting.
This is a beautiful painting. I haven't commented in a while, but your comment made me smile. This scene is in the States, right? Or has the SW seceded? Just joking, we are still in NM for another week then back to the hills of Texas. I will enjoy looking at your SW scenes this winter when I am missing the high deserts. :)

Thanks Steve, There is a difference (somehow) in the saturation and contrast that the two platforms display. EBay is washed out,as is AOL, but blogger, thru Safari is richer and more contrasty.
Thanks Terry, This is what is so unique about the Southwest. It has these landmasses that can be seen for miles, that can give the artists the chance to display atmospheric perspective very easily. I could stare at the scenery for hours and hours and never get tired of it.
Jo, You're right, I did quote that a little strange. You know what I mean tho, the Southwest is the only place "in" the states with these landforms. Hey, I thought you were now living in Missouri for some reason. So it's Texas now?
Thanks everyone,
Mick
