This is the second painting I did of Moab on our trip. We left 5 days early for my daughters' graduation in Phoenix so I would be able to travel thru some of my favorite spots to shoot reference for some future paintings. We spent 3 nights in Jackson, Wyoming, and had plans to go directly to Cedar City in Utah after, but we decide to go the back route south, and avoided the freeways and thier lack of good scenery. I shot farms and ranches and fields and streams all the way down to Moab, getting there around midnight. Click on the image for a larger view.
