Orange #4 SOLD(Click here to view auction results)
I know you think you might have seen this one before, but it is new. Last month I had one sitting on a plate, and two months ago the same orange was sitting on a window ledge. The very first painting I did for thses auctions was an orange layout on a cutting board, thus the creative title...Orange #4. Click on the image for a larger view.

That one really glows. Fantastic!
This one is my favorite orange painting yet. I'm a sucker for contrast and you nailed it between the dark background and the lit portion of the peeled orange. Very dramatic. I like!!!!!!!!!!!
love the feeling of light...just great
Wow! I love how you captured the luminosity of the light and orange, great job.

I love the looseness of the background application, and the light coming through the orange is amazing.
I think I better paint more oranges. It's kind funny how this works, but my favorite color must be red. I have more fun working with warm and cool shades of the red spectrum than the green or blue. Matter of fact, I could stare all day at a red toned painting, give a blue painting a little bit of attention, but will get tired of a green dominated painting altogether. I try to paint secnes like those, but don't think I enjoy them as much or have as much sucess as a good old red dominated piece. Thanks for the compilments.
nice sense of translucency coming thru the mass causing great believable volume here of the orange...well done!
Wonderful! The atmosphere is great. The orange almost feels as if it is lit from the inside...Great Job!!!
Nice range of very persuasive values on this one
As others have commented, the light is incredible in this one - quite notably the beautiful glow through the orange, but also, the way it plays on the peel really gives a great sense of texture to this piece. This is beautiful!
