Rainy Day Pear SOLD (click here to see aution results)

Here's a pear that I think is going to be one of my last. I couldn't stop at just indicating the basic colors that I saw. I was compelled to try to create the speckled paterns you see only after looking closer. I don't know if it was the right choice, but that's what art is all about...making choices. I like the speckled pattern. Great job on the widow too. You gave just enough information to get the job done. Your attention to detail is just great!
Wow, you are a wonderful artist! Please consider returning to pears. Maybe take a break if you must; but please return to them at a later time. I am amazed by your realistic work. Collectors who are buying from you now are getting an incredible value. The only thing standing between you and a $1,525.OO painting is a NY Times or a USA Today article.
Thank you for commenting on my blog the other day. I'm sorry that I lost your comment as well as other artists' comments due to a HTML mishap on my blog.
nice piece...
the light and values of the window edges...sense of air, paint handling...all good!!!
HI Mick
Love this painting and really admire your work!
Take care,
Toni
Well, it was the right choice for me! It's very well done, and I love the setting on the window sill.
Mick,
I like your rich colors and your realistic style. Keep 'em coming.
Great work.
