About Me
- Name: mick mcginty
- Location: Gilbert, Arizona, United States
I've been an artist since age 5, when I remember drawing an airplane better than my older brother. It was a bi-wing with a propeller, (not that I'm that old... it was 1957 and it was a racing plane), and it was encouraging because up until then, it was the only thing I could remember doing better. I kept at it, and now nearly 50 years later I'm still trying to improve my creative process. Now I realize you never get better than anyone else... just more unique to your own style, and become the best painter you can be.

Mick,
Your paintings never fail to cheer my day up. I've been saving them to my iPhoto picture library but I can't keep up. You've really developed a style of your own. I see the tightness of your commercial work but they still have that painterly quality that I love. Those pie painting are awesome. Makes me wanna go out learn how to paint like that. Great stuff!

I have two questions. First, why did you buy a pie instead of Kerry baking one? And second, who ate the other five pieces?
It's scary to let Kerry bake her own pies. When she was pregnant with Kacey, she baked a banana cream pie that nobody else saw. She baked it and ate it. I think we pretty much shared this one, but I do use the excuse that I need to photograph these setups, so guess who gets the last piece?
