"Sun Drenched Ledge " 9 "x 12" (Click here to bid on eBay)

"Sun Drenched Ledge"
I'm back after more than a month of not painting. Mostly because I have been away at a painting conference at the first part of the month and partly because of other portrait commissions and art projects. Glad to be back with one of my favorite locations, the Grand Canyon. Click on the image for a larger view.

This is so lovely, Mick. You have captured not only the atmosphere of the canyon but the feeling.

Mick, I am always amazed by your marvelous control of values and color. Fun to see those luscious squiggly strokes in the enlargement turn into canyons and gullies when one "steps back" to the smaller image.

I love the contrast between the warm colors in the foreground and the cool colors in the background. I also love the energy in the brushstrokes.
