"Warm Rock" 9"x12" (Click here to bid on eBay)

After months of illustration projects, I was finally able to get back into the swing of painting again. I closed my eyes and picked a composition from a visit to Jackson Wyoming back in '07. Click on the image for a larger view.

I love that painting - I can feel the air! And I'm so glad you're back - I was getting worried about you, but glad it was "just" work that was keeping you busy!

Thanks everyone. Frank is right though, I have been a slacker. These blogs are great places to expose your work to the world and grow as a painter and I think I lost the drive to paint just for money in it, but realized how I missed the love of doing it. That batch of illustration worked got me thinking straight again

Hey! I didnt realise you were an illustrator too, I am and I HATE how it gets in the way of painting...but you have to make a living! Beautiful work as always Mick, I watch but dont often comment.

Wonderful feeling of air and light in this painting and I feel I could walk up alongside that sunny rock to stand amongst those pines at the top. Great handling of the paint :-)
