Flowers are harder to paint than I thought they would be. The pedals are transparent, flimsy, and strange shaped. You just about have to paint them the way you see them and try not to improvise. Click on the image for a larger view.

Hi Mick, Your work is so consistantly sharp, I do not know how you pull them off daily. I agree that flowers are very tough subjects to paint; I find their subtletly in reflective colors often over whelming to "pin down". Especially, wrinkled petal types. They take total focus to even see well. JLC
