This is a painting I did from photos of Superstition Mountain near Phoenix. I plein air painted one painting that day, but ended up bringing it back to my studio to touch up. I took a bunch of shots as I painted, and have finshed more than a few from that day, including a larger piece that was of the true"golden hour" when the mountain was a brilliant rose hue.
