Saguaro Bluff (Click here to view auction results)

This is a painting I did on location (plein air), but needed to finish it when we got back home because I started it at around 4 pm and had time to just lay in the colors but no details. This was painted in a park north and west of Phoenix along side the Salt River near Lake Saguaro. It's the best place I've found to paint if there are any plein air painters reading this. Especially if you don't want to drive 50 miles just to paint for a couple of hours. Click on the image for a larger view.

Hi Mark, There's a group of us -Scottsdale plein air painters, who go on location every Wednesday. We were in Saguaro Lake last week, Cave Creek this week, and going to the Superstitions, Dutchman's Hole? next week. Let me know if you'd like to be on the email list and join us! Candy

Hi Candy,
I would really like to be included. I'll leave a message on your blog to be put on the list.

Nice plein airs there!

I'm a plein air painter from Mendocino, CA, coming to Scottsdale this fall (2008) and would like to know about any Plein Air festivals in Scottsdale area any time during the year; also would like to contact local artist(s) just to make that connection.
thanks
