I'm going to post at least two paintings a week...minimum. Most will be 5"x 7" to keep things small, but like the first one...they will vary. I'll be including a link to Ebay to bid on these. Any that don't sell will be designated on this blog, and can be purchased for the minimum of $100.00
We had breakfast after church the other day, and I was tempted to order waffles, but the picture on the menu sold me. Waffles are comng soon tho I think. Click on the image for a larger view.
Mick, Do you mean 'Perkins Pancakes'? That is a popular chain on the East coast. Beautiful pancakes. The light & fluffy kind. I enjoy your diner sentimentality. I am the same about it myself. Great toast n' jelly yesterday also!
Mona, Thanks for the correction. I was hoping I didn't do it on my auction page. I just get in a hurry and don't proof read thngs. Thanks for the compliments. Mick
You know... not only was I raised in the southwest but my father was in the restaurant business - had two places on Route 66. Your recent posings ar really making me homesick. Your painting of the pancakes is great. It tugs at a tender heartstring. Thanks!
Mick, I just looked through all your paintings and it was awesome! I love how you mix up the landscapes with the close-ups. I LIKE all the duck and bunny ones! Keep it up - great blog, you just might inspire me to get off my hump and start painting again.
Cheryl, Thanks for the compliment. I looked at your blog and it looks like you are plenty busy with art already. I wished I had gotten to those rummage sales before you, There's something about old pots and objects that hold stuff..I want them all. I don't have any nice ones like the ones on your blog. Still looking.
Ooooh, now I want PANCAKES! And I've been so good! Where in New England can you get them that look like THAT? Seriously, Mick, this is amazing. It looks like the syrup would be sticky to touch! I smell MAPLE...
Thanks Kelly and Linda. Food is the most fund to paint because of the textures and colors. I always get a likeness, but nobody can tell for sure because I get rid of the evidence.

Very nice work. You achieve a high level of realism but it is still unmistakably a painting - a quality I admire.
