I've painted onions before and was amazed then at the amount of interesting surfaces, colors and textures that are in something as simple as these vegetables. They are definately a harder thing to paint than you would think. Click on the image for a larger view.
As always I'm a sucker for unions! I like your use of blue, green, and purple in the shadow area, it adds a needed punch in the painting. I also think this is the most painterly work I've seen from you. Good job.
